Mamelodi Sundowns earn over R43 million in prize money

Mamelodi Sundowns have secured more than R43 million in prize money during the first quarter of their 2026 campaign. The South African club's earnings include R33 million from winning the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup after defeating Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, and R10 million for winning the MTN8 title with a 2-0 victory over Orlando Pirates.

Following their success in the Intercontinental Cup, the team has advanced to the Challenger Cup, where a potential win would lead to a match against European champions Paris Saint-Germain. The club remains in contention for several other trophies, including the Carling Knockout Cup, Nedbank Cup, Betway Premiership, and the CAF Champions League. An upcoming CAF Super Cup match against USM Alger offers an additional R8 million in prize money.
