Mamma Mia! franchise expands with new West End cast and Sydney immersive experience

The Mamma Mia! musical franchise is seeing significant updates in both London and Australia. In London’s West End, the production at the Novello Theatre has released new images alongside the introduction of a new cast. The ensemble includes Sara Poyzer as Donna, Vivien Carter as Tanya, and Laura Medforth as Rosie, among others. The musical, which premiered in 1999, remains the third longest-running West End musical of all time.

Additionally, the immersive theatrical dining experience, ‘Mamma Mia! The Party’, created by Björn Ulvaeus, is set to make its Australian premiere in Sydney. Scheduled for March 2027 at the Sydney Event Centre at The Star, the production features a live band and cast of 20 performers in a Greek taverna setting. The event concludes with a 1970s-themed disco. Tickets for the Sydney engagement are expected to go on sale on November 12, 2026.
