Mamma Mia! The Party to premiere in Sydney in 2027

The immersive theatrical dining experience, Mamma Mia! The Party, is scheduled to make its Australian premiere in March 2027 at the Sydney Event Centre at The Star. Created by ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus, the production is an immersive event set in a recreated Greek taverna inspired by the island of Skopelos.

Guests will experience a four-course Mediterranean feast accompanied by a live band and a cast of 20 musicians and performers playing ABBA hits such as ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Waterloo’. The evening concludes with a 1970s-style disco. The production is executive produced by Ulvaeus, Pophouse Entertainment, and TEG Dainty.

Paul Dainty, president and CEO of TEG Dainty, noted the significance of the event, having previously promoted ABBA’s only Australian tour in 1977. The show celebrates 10 years in Stockholm and is currently in its seventh year in London.
