MAN advances electric heavy-duty transport with new eTGX models

MAN Truck & Bus has introduced advancements in electric heavy-duty transport, highlighted by the new eTGX battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and its practical deployment in the Netherlands.

In the Netherlands, BUKO Transport has commenced operations with its first three-axle electric MAN eTGX. This vehicle is being utilized for road construction projects for KWS, primarily at Schiphol Airport. The truck features a 445 kWh battery capacity, providing an estimated range of approximately 400 kilometers while carrying a gross weight of fifty tons.

At the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition, MAN unveiled a next-generation eTGX designed for increased efficiency and range. Through aerodynamic improvements and enhanced regenerative braking, the new models can achieve a range of up to 720 km when equipped with additional batteries in a 6x2 configuration. The company aims to invest 700 million euros globally over the coming years to support the transition to sustainable transport solutions.
