Man allegedly kills brother during company event in Bukidnon

A company gathering in Dangcagan, Bukidnon, turned fatal on Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2026, when a 46-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 36-year-old brother to death.

The incident occurred during a “fun day” activity at the Dole Dangcagan Palletizing Compound in Barangay Osmeña. According to the Dangcagan Municipal Police Station, the two brothers were participating in a drinking session with colleagues when a heated argument erupted. Investigators believe the confrontation was triggered by a personal grudge or longstanding resentment.

During the altercation, the suspect allegedly drew a knife from a sling bag and stabbed the victim once in the upper left portion of his chest. The victim was transported by the Dangcagan Rescue Team to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in Kibawe but was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect was apprehended by the compound’s security personnel and a Shokaco team leader before police arrived. He is currently in the custody of the Dangcagan Municipal Police Station, and the weapon used in the attack has been turned over to authorities.
