Man arrested after being found sleeping on a roof in Lambaré

A 31-year-old man, Diego Ariel Benítez, was detained in the San Miguel neighborhood of Lambaré, Paraguay, after a homeowner discovered him sleeping on her roof. Benítez, who has a prior criminal record for robbery and aggravated theft and was under an active arrest warrant issued on July 8, claimed he had only climbed onto the roof to rest while the residents were away.

With the assistance of a neighbor and local police, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. The Public Ministry has ordered his detention pending further legal proceedings, as confirmed by Commissioner Jorge Arbo.
