Romania police report multiple arrests for assault and violence
Multiple criminal incidents and arrests have been reported across various regions in Romania involving violence and legal violations.
In Bucharest, a man identified as V. A. was placed in preventive arrest for 30 days after allegedly threatening and physically assaulting a female police officer in Sector 4. The suspect reportedly kicked and struck the officer in the face during an attempt to immobilize him.
In Buzău and Râmnicu Sărat, two separate individuals were detained for violating protection orders. One 30-year-old man allegedly assaulted his wife and destroyed her phone, while a 41-year-old man was caught violating contact restrictions.
Other notable incidents include the arrest of two youths in Medgidia for assaulting two men with blunt objects, and the detention of a 20-year-old in Păltiniș for sexual assault against a minor. Additionally, a 24-year-old driver in Hudești was detained for driving with a high blood alcohol concentration of 0.90 mg/l.
In Hunedoara, a 19-year-old in Petrila was detained following a spontaneous conflict that resulted in the physical assault of a 52-year-old man.
