Man arrested for drunk driving after hitting two pedestrians in Clint
Emmanuel Meza Rabelo, a 20-year-old man from Fabens, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after allegedly striking two pedestrians in Clint, Texas. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, near the intersection of Church Street and Garcia Street during the San Lorenzo Festival.
Meza was reportedly driving a black GMC Sierra the wrong way on a one-way street when he struck a 62-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, both residents of San Elizario. The victims sustained minor injuries; the woman was transported to a hospital for further medical attention.
According to the El Paso County Constable's Office, Meza remained at the scene and failed a sobriety test. A voluntary breathalyzer test showed blood alcohol content exceeding the legal limit of 0.08. Meza was booked into the El Paso County Jail on drunk driving charges with a $10,000 bond.
