Man arrested for processing and selling cannabis‑infused water in Pasir Mas, Kelantan

Police conducting Operation Taring Wawasan in Kampung Senor Meranti, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, detained a 35‑year‑old man suspected of processing and selling cannabis‑infused water (air ketum). Officers seized two kilograms of ketum leaves and 10 litres of the green‑tinged liquid, valued at roughly RM 360. The suspect admitted to drinking the water since 2023, growing ketum plants at his home, and selling small quantities to close acquaintances for RM 10 per packet. Early urine tests showed no drug use. The case is being investigated under Section 30(3) of the Poisons Act 1952, with the confiscated materials handed to the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Pasir Mas District Police for further action.
