Man arrested in Genoa for allegedly setting fire to parents' home

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Genoa following a violent arson incident in Pino Torinese. Authorities allege that after a heated argument with his parents, the man set fire to his family's apartment.

The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the apartment below. A couple residing in the lower unit suffered mild smoke inhalation and was transported to a hospital in Chieri for treatment. The apartment where the fire originated has been declared uninhabitable.

Following a search initiated by Carabinieri in Turin, the suspect was located by the Genoa Radiomobile Nucleo in the Piazzale Kennedy area. He has been transferred to the Marassi prison and faces charges of 'strage' (massacre), a serious offense involving acts capable of endangering public safety with homicidal intent.
