Man arrested in Hamburg for mail theft and perfume robbery

A 22-year-old Romanian national was arrested at the Hamburg central station on October 22, 2026, following a theft at a drugstore. A shop detective detained the man after he allegedly stole five high-priced perfumes valued at 680 EUR.

Upon checking his identification, federal police discovered an outstanding arrest warrant from the Hamburg District Court. The man is suspected of suppressing mail shipments during his employment at a postal service provider between December 2022 and May 2023.
