Man arrested in Moama school toilet on multiple domestic violence charges
Police in the Murray River district arrested a 26‑year‑old man hiding in a toilet at a school in Moama, New South Wales, after a foot chase on 15 July. Officers also seized a knife from the school car park for forensic analysis. No students or staff were injured.
The man was taken to Deniliquin Police Station and charged with a range of offences, including breaches of an apprehended violence order, stalking, intimidation, common assault, possession of a knife in a public place and several property‑related offences. He was refused bail and appeared before the Bail Division Court.
The incident follows earlier reports of a 27‑year‑old woman being assaulted in the same town, prompting a broader domestic‑violence investigation.
