Man arrested in Serra for R$ 100,000 fraud scheme

Gustavo Peixoto Cordeiro, a 27-year-old man, was arrested in Serra for fraud that caused losses exceeding R$ 100,000 to a personal trainer. Investigations revealed that Cordeiro exchanged a rented car for the victim's motorcycle and used the victim's facial recognition data to fraudulently secure a vehicle loan.

Cordeiro has a criminal history, including a previous arrest in São Paulo for fraud involving a scheme known as 'estelionato do amor'. Following his arrest, he was transferred to the Rodrigo Figueiredo da Rosa Penitentiary Complex.
