Man arrested in Zonguldak for damaging Erdoğan banner
A man has been arrested in the Devrek district of Zonguldak after removing and damaging a banner featuring President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The incident occurred on an overpass along the Ankara-Zonguldak highway where the Devrek Municipality had hung the banner.
According to reports, the suspect, identified as Ufuk Ören, removed the banner and applied grease to it. Although he was initially released under judicial control with travel restrictions, the prosecution appealed the decision. Following an arrest warrant issued by the Zonguldak Heavy Penal Court, gendarmerie forces located and apprehended Ören in the Nizamlar village area. He was subsequently remanded in custody by the court.
