Man arrested with drugs and firearm on Raposo Tavares highway

A 29-year-old man was arrested on the Raposo Tavares highway in Rancharia, São Paulo, during a police operation. Authorities intercepted a Mercedes-Benz bus traveling from Campo Grande to Rio de Janeiro and discovered illegal items among the passenger's belongings.

Police seized approximately 6.93 kilograms of hashish and 0.015 kilograms of skunk, along with a .38 caliber Rossi revolver and four intact rounds of ammunition. The estimated loss to criminal activity from this seizure is R$ 190,000. The suspect, who has a prior criminal record involving drug trafficking and bodily injury, was taken into custody.
