Man As Machine releases new single “Impossible Sea”

South African alternative‑rock band Man As Machine has issued a new single titled “Impossible Sea”. The track was written by vocalist and guitarist Rob while he was preparing to leave South Africa for an overseas work contract, and it reflects themes of personal growth, self‑discovery and the emotional weight of leaving familiar people and places.

“Impossible Sea” was recorded at High Seas Studios, engineered and mixed by Jacques Du Plessis and mastered by Rogan Kelsey. Musically the band describes the song as a blend of influences – “a quarter Incubus, a quarter Blindside, and a half Man As Machine” – delivering an atmospheric yet anthemic sound. The release marks a new chapter for the group, which has announced plans for additional music, lyric videos, live shows, tours and festival appearances in the coming months.
