Man charged with murder in Houston partner stabbing

Jamie Castillo has been arrested and charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of his partner, 23-year-old Jose Orozco, in northeast Houston. The incident occurred on October 5 in the 4400 block of Sandydale Lane.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a welfare check and discovered Orozco deceased from multiple stab wounds. The investigation was prompted by a call from an individual in Colorado, who reported that his brother in Houston had confessed to the stabbing.

Authorities stated that Castillo initially provided officers with incorrect locations before being apprehended by the Houston Police Department. Investigations revealed that Castillo and Orozco had been in a dating relationship for several months to a year.
