Man confesses to killing ex-wife in Arsin, Turkey
A man in the Arsin district of Trabzon has confessed to killing his ex-wife, Gülşah Oktay, following a dispute in a vehicle on October 6. Aydın Yediparmak reportedly shot Oktay seven times with a handgun. Despite receiving medical intervention at Kanuni Training and Research Hospital, Oktay succumbed to her injuries.
Investigations revealed a tragic irony: just 14 days prior to the shooting, Oktay had saved Yediparmak’s life after discovering him in a state of distress following a suicide attempt.
During police interrogation, Yediparmak admitted to the crime, citing financial disputes and arguments regarding unpaid debts as the motive. He stated that the couple had previously undergone a consensual divorce to protect assets from creditors. Yediparmak, who reportedly has a prior criminal record, has been taken into custody.
