Man critically injured by electric shock in Miraflores, Los Cabos
On 30 July, a 43‑year‑old man suffered a high‑voltage electric shock while working on the second floor of a private residence on C. Emilia Verdugo street in the Miraflores district of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. The local fire department (Bomberos de San José del Cabo) responded quickly, using harnesses, a pulley system, a ladder and a stretcher to evacuate the victim. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of burns and other injuries. The incident prompted a coordinated response from the fire service, civil‑protection units and police, highlighting concerns about aging electrical infrastructure in rural communities.
