MAN Dance FES 2026 draws thousands to Hokkaido arena

The MAN Dance FES 2026, a large-scale dance festival, was held on August 9, 2026, at the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena in Hokkaido. This event marked the first time the Hokkaido dance scene utilized an arena-scale venue for such a gathering.

The festival drew a total of 3,772 attendees and featured 912 dancers participating in various disciplines over a 10-hour period. The program included street dance, jazz, and kids' dance, alongside regional cultural performances such as YOSAKOI and Ainu dance. Key segments included the KING DANCE 12 CONTEST and various battle stages for both youth and adult categories.

BUZZ GROUP, a company operating rental studios across Japan, sponsored the event. The company stated its intention to move beyond one-time sponsorships to establish a continuous partnership aimed at supporting the growth of dance culture and providing professional stages for the younger generation in Hokkaido.
