Man detained in General Pico, Argentina over gender‑based violence case

On 3 July 2026 police in General Pico, La Pampa, arrested a 48‑year‑old man wanted in a gender‑based violence investigation. The suspect was linked to a case filed as “Daño, Amenazas y Lesiones Leves” after an incident in the rural area of Sansinena, Rivadavia. Departmental police together with the General Pico investigative brigade executed a search warrant, located the suspect’s residence in General Pico and transferred him to Rivadavia, where he was placed in the América police station. The case is being processed by the Functional Unit of Instruction and Trial No. 6 and the Guarantees Court No. 1 in the Department of Judicial Affairs of Trenque Lauquen.
