Angel N detained in Altotonga homicide case, Veracruz

Coordinated police work between the Fiscalía General del Estado de Veracruz and the Fiscalía General de la Ciudad de México led to the arrest of Ángel “N”. He is accused of qualified homicide that occurred on 3 June 2026 in Ahueyahualco, Altotonga municipality, where the victim was caring for animals. The arrest was executed by the regional police of Xalapa together with the Dirección General de Supervisión y Seguimiento de Ordenamientos Judiciales of the Mexico City prosecutor’s office. Ángel “N” has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority for an initial hearing to determine his legal status, with the investigation framed as an objective, due‑process case.
