Man Dies After Fleeing Carabinieri in Senigallia, Italy

On the morning of the incident, a 35‑year‑old foreign man was driving a BMW with Ukrainian plates near Cesano, Senigallia. He ignored a police checkpoint (alt) set by Carabinieri, accelerated away, and later abandoned the vehicle to flee on foot.

The Carabinieri tackled and tasered him, after which he was taken to Senigallia hospital in a critical state. He died shortly after arrival, reportedly from a heart attack. The Ancona public prosecutor, Valeria Cigliola, has opened an investigation, ordered an autopsy at the regional hospital in Torretta, and is working to identify the deceased.
