Man Drowns at Onaç Dam in Burdur, Turkey

İbrahim Bozkurt, a 30‑year‑old resident, entered the waters of Onaç Dam in Burdur’s Bucak district around 16:00 to cool off. He disappeared shortly thereafter, prompting relatives to launch an initial rescue effort that failed. Emergency services including police, gendarmerie, health, fire, and AFAD teams were dispatched; divers searched the murky water for three hours. Bozkurt’s body was recovered and transferred to Bucak State Hospital morgue, where officials confirmed he had died.
