MAN eTGX electric truck features improved range and efficiency
MAN Truck & Bus has announced the next generation of its eTGX electric heavy-duty semi-truck, scheduled for a world premiere at IAA Transportation 2026. The updated model features an aerodynamic design with a front end extended by 120 millimeters, which also aims to improve safety and visibility for pedestrians and cyclists.
Technical improvements include a new battery generation providing 10 percent more usable energy and a 20 percent increase in energy recovery capacity, resulting in up to 3 percent higher efficiency. Depending on the configuration, the truck offers significant range: a 4x2 model with 552 kWh capacity can reach 660 kilometers, while a 6x2 model with 644 kWh capacity can reach up to 720 kilometers.
Power outputs have been expanded to a range between 333 and 598 CV. To minimize downtime, the eTGX can be equipped with an optional Megawatt Charging System (MCS) capable of 750 kW, allowing for a full recharge in approximately 30 minutes.
