Man found critically injured in Bataguassu assault

A 53-year-old man named Keith was found unconscious and seriously injured on the roadside of highway BR-267 in Bataguassu, Brazil. The victim suffered severe wounds to his head and face.

Police investigators discovered a blood-stained paving stone near the scene, which is being treated as a potential weapon used in the assault. Other items found included a blue cap and a bus ticket indicating the victim had traveled from Presidente Venceslau, São Paulo, earlier that day. Due to the severity of his condition, the victim was transferred from the Santa Casa de Bataguassu to a specialized hospital in Três Lagoas. The Civil Police have registered the case as intentional bodily injury.
