Man found dead after disappearing from boat in Antalya

The body of 45-year-old Mustafa Murat Çiçek has been recovered following a four-day search in the Kekova region of Demre, Antalya. Çiçek had disappeared from a boat during a group holiday trip on October 18.

According to reports, Çiçek was part of a 12-person group on a multi-day tour when the vessel anchored off the coast. He was last heard from on the night of October 17, after telling his wife he intended to stay on deck to fish. When his companions woke the following morning, they discovered he was missing.

Coast Guard teams conducted search operations in the area for four days before locating his body in the water. Following a prosecutor's investigation, his remains were taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. His body has since been transported to Istanbul for burial.
