Multiple fatalities reported in Argentina, Peru, and Dominican Republic

Several tragic incidents involving missing persons and fatalities have been reported across the Americas.

In Avellaneda, Argentina, an officer of the Argentine Federal Police, Estefanía Luján Espínola, was found dead alongside her infant daughter, Lucía, in their apartment. Investigators are looking into a mental health crisis and domestic conflicts as the primary cause, noting that the woman used her service weapon. Authorities have ruled out professional or economic motives.

In Tacna, Peru, the body of 20-year-old Flor Verónica Care Sucapuca was discovered in a rented room in Leguía. Her mother reported that a tenant refused entry despite a foul odor emanating from the room. The victim had been missing since mid-May, and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.

In Verón, Dominican Republic, the body of Vitales Lorenzo Fernández Acosta, an elderly man known as “Ligüa,” was found in the Las Dos Jardas area. He had been reported missing since the previous Saturday. Family members noted he suffered from Alzheimer’s, which may have contributed to his disappearance. Authorities are conducting forensic evaluations to establish the cause of death.
