Multiple Homicide Investigations After Bodies Discovered in Brazil and Portugal

In Alcobaça, Bahia, Brazil, investigators recovered the body of Alan Cyro Silva Aguiar, identified as a male in his twenties, near the Colégio Estadual Eraldo Tinoco. A non‑transfixing gunshot wound to the chest was observed, and the case is being treated as a possible homicide. The remains were taken to the Instituto Médico‑Legal (IML) in Itamaraju for autopsy.

Authorities in Goiânia, Goiás, found a restaurant manager dead inside her home in the Setor Bueno neighbourhood. Police opened a homicide inquiry, and the victim’s body was sent to the local IML for forensic examination.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio Grande do Sul charged a 35‑year‑old man in Garruchos with vicaricídio – the murder of a 15‑year‑old girl by arson to harm her mother – and with qualified vehicle theft. This is reported as the state’s first vicaricídio case. All investigations remain ongoing.
