Poland: Multiple arrests and investigations reported

Authorities in Poland have conducted several high-profile operations across the country. In Warsaw, police arrested Wojciech Olszański, a leader of the Rodacy Kamraci movement, following a court order. Olszański, known as ‘Jaszczur’, was apprehended after a court hearing and faces imprisonment following a conviction for inciting hatred against Jewish people.

In a separate corruption investigation, the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) detained an entrepreneur and a former director of an arms industry company in the Podkarpackie and Świętokrzyskie regions. The probe involves allegations of bribery and fraudulent invoicing for non-existent training services within the defense sector between 2014 and 2022.

In Szczecin, a 43-year-old Polish citizen was detained under a European Arrest Warrant. He is suspected of the murder of a pregnant woman in Germany. Additionally, the Siedlce District Prosecutor’s Office has issued charges to 98 individuals regarding irregularities and failure to fulfill duties by electoral commission members during the 2025 presidential elections.

Other local incidents include a man arrested in Pępowo for damaging a shop entrance with a cleaver while intoxicated, and a police search for suspects involved in a xenophobic attack on a foreigner in a Łódź tram.
