Man injured in ATV accident near Yasna Polyana

A 42-year-old man sustained severe spinal injuries after falling from an ATV near the coastal village of Yasna Polyana in the Strandzha region. Due to the difficult terrain, rescue teams including medics and firefighters had to descend into a ravine to reach the victim.

The severity of the injuries required the man to be intubated on-site before being transported via medical helicopter to the University Multiprofile Hospital for Acute Care (UMBAL) in Burgas. This incident follows another serious ATV accident involving a 42-year-old man in the Burgas region earlier in October near the village of Kosharitsa.
