Man invests in retirement funds for driver and housekeeper
An individual named Naresh has gained social media attention for investing in the future financial security of his domestic employees. After realizing that his driver and housekeeper lacked access to a pension or provident fund, Naresh decided to provide a safety net for their old age.
He opened Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) accounts for both employees, investing ₹25,000 for each. KVP is a government-backed small savings scheme offered through India Post, where the invested amount doubles over a set period. Naresh expressed his intention to continue making such investments annually and encouraged others to start small, noting that even amounts as low as ₹10,000 can provide significant long-term support for long-term staff.
