Man killed during attempted vehicle theft in Yecapixtla

A man died following a suspected attempted vehicle theft in the Aquiles Serdán neighborhood of Yecapixtla, Morelos. According to police reports, the victim had exited his car to purchase a water jug when he was confronted by an individual. A struggle ensued, during which a gunshot struck the victim in the neck.

Following the shooting, an assailant attempted to steal the vehicle but fled on a red motorcycle after failing to find the keys and noticing other people inside the car. Although paramedics transported the victim to a general hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. One other person was injured during the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the case.
