Man Ray retrospective opens at Fondazione Magnani-Rocca

The Fondazione Magnani-Rocca is hosting a comprehensive retrospective titled “Man Ray: tutto” at the Villa dei Capolavori in Mamiano di Traversetolo, near Parma. The exhibition marks fifty years since the artist's passing and features over 250 works.

The collection spans the breadth of Man Ray's multidisciplinary career, including photography, painting, sculpture, design, graphics, publishing, and film. Notable pieces on display include the iconic photographic portrait "Le Violon d’Ingres" (1924), as well as works such as "Lacrime," "La preghiera," "Anatomia," and "Noire et Blanche."

The exhibition tracks his artistic evolution from his early years in the United States and his involvement with the Dada movement—highlighted by sculptures like "By Itself" and the installation "Ostruzione"—to his influential period in Paris following his move in 1921.
