Man recovers Bitcoin worth $5 million lost since 2014
A man identified only as Chris has successfully recovered Bitcoin that had been inaccessible since 2014. At the time of the loss, the cryptocurrency was valued at approximately $5,400.
The loss occurred after the trading platform Intersango, formerly known as Britcoin, became unavailable following financial difficulties. Chris had previously attempted to withdraw his funds but found his account frozen.
Following advice from his wife, Chris engaged CEL Solicitors, a firm specializing in cryptocurrency recovery. The legal team successfully regained access to the assets, which are now valued at between $4.5 million and $5 million. Chris stated he intends to use a portion of the funds to purchase a larger home to better accommodate a family member with disabilities.
