Man rescued after jumping from bridge in Jos, Plateau State

A middle-aged man was rescued by bystanders after jumping from the British American Bridge in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday afternoon.

Witnesses reported that the man approached the bridge around 1:00 PM before jumping into the water. Local residents and commuters intervened immediately, working together to pull him from the water. The man appeared to have sustained injuries during the incident and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Security personnel arrived at the scene following the rescue. While the Plateau State Police Command has not issued an official statement, sources indicated that an investigation has commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's actions.
