Man sentenced to 12 years for child abuse in Denmark

A 45-year-old man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Helsingør Court after being found guilty of grooming, sexual assault, and multiple rapes. The crimes involved his two foster daughters, who were between the ages of two and four at the time, as well as his daughter’s friend, who was assaulted five times between the ages of 12 and 14.

The court found that the assaults occurred both in the man's home and during trips to a summer house and vacations in Southern Europe. In addition to the prison sentence, the man received a ban on being around children under the age of 18 and was ordered to pay approximately 700,000 DKK in compensation to the victims. The defendant has appealed the verdict.
