Man sentenced to 75 years for feminicide in Patos de Minas

A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison for the feminicide of his former partner in Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais. The crime occurred in November 2025 at a farmhouse during a celebration.

The jury recognized aggravating factors, including the fact that the murder was committed in the presence of the victim's children and the use of methods that hindered her defense. In addition to the prison sentence, which will initially be served in a closed regime, the defendant must pay R$ 100,000 in compensation to the victim's children.
