Man sentenced to prison for assaulting woman in Comondú vehicle

A man identified as Daniel “N” has been sentenced to six months in prison for assaulting a woman in her vehicle in Ciudad Constitución, Comondú. The incident occurred on June 13, 2025, when the perpetrator intercepted the victim while she was driving through the Centro neighborhood.

According to investigations by the State Attorney General's Office (PGJE), the attacker entered the vehicle and physically assaulted the woman by striking her legs and violently pulling her arm. Medical evaluations determined the injuries were not life-threatening but required a 15-day recovery period.

Following an oral trial, the Unitary Sentencing Tribunal issued the conviction for the crime of injuries. In addition to the prison term, the court ordered a payment of 20,800 pesos for damages, which the victim has confirmed was paid.
