Santander prostitute swindles client of €14,000 via facial‑recognition scam
A man arrived early morning at the New Borgia club on the Heras road in Santander, drank alcohol and hired a young Dominican woman offering prostitution services. After they went to a private room, the man fell into a deep sleep. The woman took his mobile phone, placed it before his face and used the phone’s facial‑recognition app to authorize a series of financial operations.
She made four credit‑card payments of €879.20 each, ordered six bank transfers totalling €8,500, and attempted 23 Bizum transfers, four of which succeeded for €500 each. In total, the victim lost about €14,016.80. The prosecution has charged the woman with fraud and is seeking a prison term of two and a half years, while the private plaintiff representing the client is asking for three years. Both parties are demanding the return of the stolen money.
The case is being investigated by the local authorities in Santander.
