Man seriously injured in stabbing attack in Apucarana, Brazil

A 36‑year‑old man was seriously wounded after being stabbed in the abdomen and skull during an attempted homicide on Avenida Aviação in the Jardim Trabalhista area, near Vila Nova, in Apucarana, Paraná, on the evening of 31 July 2026. Witnesses said the victim ran toward a nearby supermarket before collapsing and bleeding heavily.

Emergency responders from the Integrated Trauma Service (SIATE), the fire brigade and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) provided first aid and transported the victim to Hospital da Providência, where his condition was reported as stable. The Military Police and the Municipal Guard are on the scene, and the investigation continues with no suspect identified yet.
