Man shot dead in pickup truck in Ariquemes

Zilivaldo Silva Santos, 32, was shot and killed inside a pickup truck at a rural producer market in Ariquemes, Rondônia. The victim's five-year-old daughter was inside the vehicle during the attack. Following the gunfire, the child fled the truck and sought help from bystanders before being reunited with her mother.

Witnesses reported that the assailant arrived on a motorcycle, approached the vehicle, and fired multiple shots before fleeing. Police recovered shell casings at the scene and noted approximately nine bullet holes in the truck. While investigators found documents and a registered firearm belonging to the victim, the weapon itself was not recovered. Local authorities are reviewing security footage to identify the perpetrator.
