Man survives 300-meter fall in Tuyen Quang province

A young man, Thao Mi Sa (born 2003), survived a fall of approximately 300 meters in the Lung Cu area of Tuyen Quang province. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on October 24 while the individual was filming and taking photographs.

According to reports, the victim lost his balance while sitting on a concrete roadside barrier and slid into the abyss. Local police discovered him during a patrol and coordinated a rescue operation involving border guards, medical staff, and local residents. Due to the steep and treacherous terrain, rescuers had to navigate through forests and take a detour of nearly 1 kilometer to reach him.

Following the rescue, the victim was found to have only minor injuries and remained conscious. Authorities have issued warnings to tourists regarding the dangers of filming or photographing near steep cliffs and edges in highland tourist areas.
