MAN Truck & Bus Korea survey shows 90.5% of switchers see improved fuel efficiency

MAN Truck & Bus Korea released survey results from 201 customers conducted between July 14 and August 14, highlighting that fuel efficiency is the primary consideration for commercial vehicle buyers. Approximately 73% of respondents cited fuel efficiency as their top priority, followed by maintenance costs and durability.

The survey revealed that 90.5% of customers who transitioned from other brands to MAN tractors reported that their current fuel efficiency is equal to or better than their previous vehicles. Among long-distance and port/container transport workers, 93% gave positive evaluations regarding fuel efficiency.

To reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO), MAN utilizes Euro 6E compliant D26 and D38 engines. The New MAN TGX 540 tractor, equipped with the D26 engine, is designed to reduce fuel consumption by up to 7% compared to previous models through aerodynamic design and optimized gear ratios. Additionally, the company operates the ‘MAN UPTIME’ program, which provides 200,000 KRW in compensation per day if warranty repairs exceed three days to minimize business downtime.
