ChatGPT helps man find lost footwear at Ujjain temple

Shubhang Borkar, a Goa-based cybersecurity professional, used ChatGPT to locate a lost pair of clogs among a massive collection of footwear outside the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Borkar shared a video of the experiment on Instagram, demonstrating how he used the AI chatbot as a scanning tool. After failing to find his shoes manually in the crowded racks, he uploaded photos of the footwear piles along with a reference image of his specific clogs. By analyzing different sections of the footwear racks through the uploaded photographs, ChatGPT was able to identify and direct him toward the correct pair.

The video, titled ‘Used ChatGPT to find my lost clogs’, gained significant attention online, garnering over 2 million views. While many internet users found the use of AI for such a routine task amusing, the incident highlighted an unconventional real-world application of image-recognition capabilities in artificial intelligence.
