Mana Ashida to star in Japanese remake of ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’

Promotional materials have been released for the upcoming Japanese drama ‘Minamida Min Lawyer is a Genius’ (Minamida Min Bengoshi wa Tensai-gata), starring Mana Ashida. The series is a Japanese remake of the hit South Korean drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’.

The story follows Minamida Min, a rookie lawyer with autism spectrum disorder, as she navigates professional and personal challenges using her unique perspective. The production has announced that the three-piece band muque will perform the theme song, a newly written track titled ‘Ii njanai’.

The released poster features Ashida’s character surrounded by whales, illustrated by artist Shishiyamazaki. The drama is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Kantele and Fuji TV on October 19, with a global release planned on Netflix.
