Manacor Mayor Miquel Oliver resigns to run for Consell de Mallorca

Miquel Oliver, the mayor of Manacor and member of the Més per Mallorca party, has announced his resignation from the mayoralty. Oliver intends to focus his political efforts on his candidacy for the presidency of the Consell de Mallorca.

Ferran Montero, the current councillor for Education and Culture and the party's candidate for the upcoming municipal elections, is expected to assume the role of mayor temporarily for the remainder of the current term. An extraordinary plenary session is scheduled to formalize the resignation and the subsequent appointment of the successor.
