Managed Service Providers face shifts in AI and telephony services

Managed Service Providers (MSPs) are facing significant shifts in service offerings and operational strategies. The managed communication services market is projected to grow from $26.87 billion in 2025 to $49.82 billion by 2030, as businesses increasingly expect MSPs to manage voice and telephony alongside traditional IT services like security and backups.

At the ConnectWise IT Nation Connect APAC event, leadership emphasized that AI-driven transformation is a critical turning point for the industry. ConnectWise executives Jamie Hunter and Robert D’Amico noted that the focus should be on business transformation rather than just individual AI features. To support the Asia-Pacific market, ConnectWise announced several investments, including the launch of the Axcient data center to address regional data sovereignty needs and the introduction of an agentic AI data center. The company has also increased its Asia-Pacific workforce by 30 percent, including the establishment of a new team in New Zealand.
