Digital accessibility management for solo operators
A single individual can manage a digital accessibility program by focusing on accountability and sequencing rather than attempting to perform all technical testing and repairs alone. Many companies initiate these programs following customer complaints or legal demand letters.
Effective solo management requires a narrow job definition. While one person can oversee which business pages are prioritized and coordinate with engineering teams, they cannot realistically act as a full testing and engineering team. Specialized tasks, such as verifying screen reader compatibility, engineering complex fixes, and producing enterprise-level documentation, are best handled by external accessibility partners.
