Managua completes first phase of Pista Solidaridad road works

The Mayor's Office of Managua (ALMA) has completed the first phase of road rehabilitation on Pista Solidaridad. This initial stage included the asphalt paving of the northern lane up to the Manolo Morales School Hospital stop and the restoration of vehicle traffic at the La Fuente traffic lights.

The project involves replacing old cobblestones with asphalt to improve one of the capital's most vital transit arteries, which connects the east, west, and south sectors of the city. The works are part of a broader program to rehabilitate 11 strategic intersections in Managua, including the area near the Roberto Huembes Market.

The second phase of the project is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 28, at 8:00 p.m., involving the closure of the southern lane. Authorities have advised drivers to exercise caution and prepare for temporary changes in traffic flow during the ongoing construction.
